From the mid 60s till the early 70s, with the race to Space and the Moon landings,  Space influenced fashion and décor became prominent in popular culture.

Pierre Cardin (1922-2020) and his company, based in Paris, were at the forefront in  supplying a comprehensive range of futuristic space age inspired designs for fashion, film, furnishings and carpets as in this present rare survivor.
