With many years of dealing in items of exceptional quality both artistically and in terms of physical condition, many having been designed by artists, with provenance or for specific commissions, research has been required so as to ascertain these findings. Incidentally, in aid of these pursuits, Keshishian have amassed a large library of source material and archival reference books, many of which are out of print. These important sources allow specific items to be further contextualised, understood and located. Collaboration with museums and access to related institutional libraries also help in the investigative nature of thorough and nuanced research.
We have assisted and contributed to the publications of numerous books on carpets and textiles and have furthered the knowledge through our research which may be considered as on-going investigations, over many years, whereby we become a vital source to others in the trade and when contacted by journals seeking enlightenment on our subject to continue the discussion in related articles.
Our research services are also available to private individuals who may have items requiring identification, authentication and to establish a provenance or to locate similar pieces in museum collections.
